of a farm loaded with blossoms and flowers.. so is the place where I spent my
weekend. A must go for any traveller or an Amdavadi..
“Gulmohar Greens” is the place I reached on Saturday, 26th May 2018... here the name Gulmohar is taken for a tree which is in full bloom during peak summer season, loaded with hues of red, orange & yellow flowers. So is this place.. always green, colourful and fully live with activities from all across genres. A perfect mix which is difficult to achieve.. hence a must try for a resort style living and a home away from home!

Peak Summer, when the
temperatures have soared to their highest of degrees, 47 degree Celsius, to be
precise, this is one place which gives you respite. Spread on sprawling 75
acres land, primarily known for a Golf course, has loads of goodies to offer.
Gulmohar Greens- Golf & Country Club, primarily commenced their
operations a decade back in 2006 with Golf and Club membership as their key attraction. Golf – the sport and proximity to the city
has been a major USP, clubbed with all amenities which a four star resort has
to offer. “This project started just with a dream, my passion towards the
finest sport in world was on a high decibel. Hence, with tremendous dedication
and remarkable support from Shri Trilokibhai Parikh, we were able to give shape
to a 9 hole par 36 Golf Course. Today, we not only have a calendar of events
for Golf but Gulmohar Greens is considered as one of the finest Golf Course of
Gujarat and is also affiliated with Indian Golf Union. Go-Golf is the annual event calendar for the sport. We run certified
courses for avid golfers and enthusiasts, giving them a platform to develop
their skill on sport. We also organise bi-monthly tournaments which are being strongly
supported by leading corporate and private firms. We have proved to be a boon
for the new generation, youngsters especially who are growing with the sport
and developing as a vocation. We also have females who are quite regular.”, mentioned,

“Apart from Golf, our property
has been ranked as the best ‘Destination
in Gujarat’ for weddings, hence with growing popularity and love we have
got in past, we are adding 27 more rooms to the existing 32 rooms, 3 of which
are suite rooms and 2 Presidential Suite spread across 2800 square feet, largest so far in the city. Besides, we have all other world class amenities, a sports
complex, restaurants, lawns for private functions, amphitheater, library,
infinity pool, gymnasium, spa, kids play and party area etc.” added Mr. Parikh.
What I observed while moving with
their team was; every member is strongly connected with every tree and plant in
the property. Each one of them don’t forget to mention about how they have been
witnesses to the shrubs also.. growing every inch in front of their eyes....
and needless to say, maintaining the
green pastures of the Golf course in a city like Ahmedabad where we receive eight
months of strong sun clubbed with high temperatures is a commendable task.
The cherry on the icing is that
the property is located at Sanand, just 15 kilometers from IIM Ahmedabad and 23
kms from the Airport.. proximity, another factor which has contributed to their
popularity. And I strongly believe, after Ahmedabad getting the tag of “Heritage
City”, tourists need good resorts to have a complete experience of a vacation,
for which Gulmohar Greens has the potential!!

Apart from Golf, the management
keeps organizing events revolving around family requirements, be it for women
or children. Weekends specially have entertaining and fun filled events... to beat
the heat there is a pool woven in three formats and a 100 year old Banyan tree
welcomes you portraying its strength through its prop roots.. demonstrating the
strength, dedication and devotion and determination of the entire place...
