A Landmark of 20 years...

Touching the new millennium 2000, the skyline of Ahmedabad had been known for very few star category hotels, and Sabarmati peripheral region used to be one key zone to build these Landmark locations.. and attract operators. Then came in Hotel Fortune Landmark in the year 1998 at Usmanpura, with a view of Sabarmati from their rooftop and close vicinity to the airport; soon followed by other revolutionary change, with Vibrant Gujarat seasons, Medical tourism and upsurge in tourism industry there came in a rising room demand which led to landing in various other players and investors pouring in the market.  Hospitality being a highly demanding industry, volatile markets and aggressive competition; this is one Landmark which has been standing tall, carrying the same brand tag since two decades.

On 23rd May 2018, Hotel Fortune Landmark celebrated their twenty years of operations. A journey worth a mention.. The city has witnessed various hospitality brands running properties and then withdrawing operations due various challenges, be it finance or synergy... sailing across smoothly with owners and operators for two decades clearly demonstrates high levels of consistency, synergy and commitment. Besides this F& B is the backbone of a hotel, for this pie in the hotel too Chef Suresh Khanna has been a strong contributor and the longest serving Chef across Gujarat, a record in itself.

"I take pride in being associated with Hotel Fortune Landmark for more than fifteen years at a stretch, this is like a second home to me. Chefs in renowned hospitality chains are regularly transferred and rotated in other locations, while the local high turnover restaurants  face their own challenges..." said Chef Suresh Khanna, who is a celebrity Chef of Ahmedabad and has received various awards and accolades.

Lets change the narrative.. the perspective and positioning !! Well, this is one statement which after a certain age applies to women.. pls note the word "AGE"!! This was mentioned in a book reading session by Sharbari Zohra Ahmed, in her Debut Novel,   "Dust under her feet!" The  Quantico  scriptwriter moves from an International thriller, expressing a high voltage drama series for Hollywood and now back into the 1940s, where her story revolves around Yasmine Khan, the protagonist. Sharbari expresses that it was probably Yasmine Khan, the focal point chose her, cause while writing the fiction,  she could clearly go back into times and see the visuals of the yesteryears when World War II had set in.. There is a lot which Sharbari has contributed into this novel, above her body mind and soul.. fifteen years have gone into crafting the epic! What beyond? The Author has actually gone to the libraries of Kolkata, dug out their archival section, newspapers, magazines, hu...
