Solo – YOLO.... the new Trend!

Do YOU know... 66% travellers can become Social Media Inflencers!! You live only once, then why not try this aspect of discovering the world just with our own company. Another experience when you soak in completely where you are, be it nature or a historical place. This is a process, when you start feeling part of that BEING, part of the existence, there and then. That’s how you absorb and sink in coherence with the energies around!! The process is natural and quite addictive. Earlier this month in Ahmedabad, a Solo traveller meet was organised, that too women; all age groups and all backgrounds sharing their experiences with a bunch of women who too wish to opt for this mode but hesitant cause of some fears attached with women going out alone. Six females, ranging from the twenties to forty plus years shared their experiences as to where all have they been, their stories and challenges associated with a woman travelling alone. Living Roots.. nature’s bounty!!

Traveling is one of the best teachers, your essence or real self is the nature, as we all are created out of it - the five essential elements!! Double Decker Living Root Bridges Every place has a different story to tell, self-reliance, essential elements, livelihood and sustainability. Nature holds the treasure, and we all have been using it time immemorial…not only for our survival but monetary well being as well…(till IT industry took over our real nature connect). Khasi Hills, on one extreme end of Indian subcontinent is home to living nature and the roots.. as too much of ‘ development’ has not touched this extreme end of the country;  Cherapunji, the wettest place in Meghalaya, India. The tableland or plateau and high amounts of rainfall are a great amalgamation for waterfalls, which are spread across this region. The tourists can spot strips of gushing waters from the cliffs, splashing out rainbows. The contouring terrain gives a surface to various other ...

Filling the empty spaces.. Future NOW!!

Day in and day out we are reading about pollution, global warming, chemical processing and revival of heritage. Volunteer Groups, NGOs, stringent Government policies have already realized the damage that has been done by the new age human civilization. The efforts at individual and group levels in getting back and being rooted are some baby steps being taken in the huge Urban clutter, where "Retail therapy" is the buzz word.  This so termed "Therapy" is just a stop gap solution, temporary and hollow, promoting "use and throw" concept amidst the new generation...but still empty and hollow, leading no where!! Some good hearts amidst the herd have rolled up their sleeves and taken conscious charge to not allow chemicals get into their food stream.  Sunday, 23rd September, in the Capital city, where 'vertical growth" spending on weekends in the malls, showing off brands and price tags is the culture which has seeped in....

Reservoirs of Heritage..

13 th September 2018: India as we all know; not only has a diverse culture but so stands for its architecture and heritage. In my recent trip to South India, wherein my plan was to touch upon some key points in the Indian Peninsula, beginning from Hyderabad (the eastern part) thereon heading to Nanded in Maharashtra , back and then reach Kochi in Kerala, drive to Munnar to view the spectacle of an era i.e Neelkaranji flower bloom; reach Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu, take off for the southernmost tip of India – Arichal Munai via Rameshwaram and come back to Ahmedabad. As we all know, due to the man-made catastrophe in Kerala, I was in constant hope that rain will certainly stop, life in few days will get back to normal (first week of August), but flood conditions worsened as water from the Dam reservoirs was released through 3 gates, adding on to the upheaval of nature’s fury which made me cancel my bookings from Hyderabad to Kochi... it was quite disappointing; but the news reports ...

Escape route.. Go..ahh!!

Cafe Mambo Cashew Factory This sea sojourn has been the best escape for not only Indians from the length and breadth of the country but also overseas.Dotted with various beaches and a happening life, shacks and pubs complementing the natural charm and sultry weather However this time I planned my trip in summer season, though monsoon had arrived in Goa...it was few months since I took a break so started getting withdrawal symptoms...lol!! So Goa became my escape route this time in June 2018. After Mount Abu and Udaipur, even for Amdavadis, with introduction of direct flights, and great deals.. Goa gives respite from busy schedules. The gigantic waves splashing on the rocky beach, worth a sight in monsoon! Apart from a regular city tour and beaches, which generally is the case with most of the tourists. This time I saw Goa with a completely different perspective. Gifted by nature, the region is rich in all formats. Fishing industry, spices, churches, templ...

This travel tale has lot to tell... A SYMBIOTIC SETTLEMENT!!

Prof. Anil Gupta, a mentor, leader who needs no introduction, has been conducting “Shodh Yatras” i.e a journey meant to learn and find out more...strongly inclined towards research and learning from people located in various remote corners of India, who have lot of natural treasure in store, who with lack of infrastructure, convert challenges into learning footprints for rest of the world to follow. Prof Anil Gupta with his ‘ yatra’ intends to document and spread these learning’s to inspire the rest of the world. The 41 st Shodh Yatra this time was to Andaman and Nicobar islands, a place which has been more known for tourism and not much focus has gone in from deriving inspiration...The locals   learn, earn from and live with nature; that’s their cash, their wealth, their money...it is a best demonstration of a symbiotic settlement!! Hence, they respect and protect nature a lot, unlike urban inhabitants who are completely slaves of infrastructure and technology. 6 d...

Paradise Rediscovered...

It is nostalgic to write this blog, as my stepping stone, the first blog was for and from this country.. Thailand. The name of the blog too was inspired by this place... Known for wrong reasons by the human race, Indians more, to be precise enough, this country is one of the most beautiful, safest, tourist friendly and light on your pocket too. ' World is my playground' followed by 'My Thai' and " under water sea bed" walk were the initial startup three blogs I had posted.. With my yearning to travel, thus on several travel portals I started my soul searching, exploration mode of another sort.. Turkey couldn't somehow manifest, then came Bali, Kashmir etc. etc.. finally instinctively I got inclined again to this place. http://triknitty.blogspot.in/2016/07/pattaya-diaries.html Travel tip : to write in, in the beginning of article itself!! The place is extremely easy to travel, you can block your rooms online, book tickets, land in, pr...
