Commemorating “Sahib-e-kamal” – The eternal power of Kalyug , epitome of love.. Guru Gobind Singhji



He is eternal, various homes, lives, sanctums begin and finish the day with his name.. but at times to let masses know, celebrations at a grand scale are a must. On similar lines, this year Patna Sahib in India had a mega scale events, celebrating 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singhji. Following the suit, other states in India too have organised events, all under the guidance of Honourable Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi.

Gujarat too will be hosting the festivities on 11th June 2017 at NID Grounds, River front, Ahmedabad. This will be the largest ever gala event in Gujarat dedicated to Shahe Shahanshah - Guru Gobind Singhji... all done in collaboration with Sikh, Vanzara and Sindhi Community where devotees and enthusiasts from across the state and country will be travelling. The event will witness presence of more than 50,000 people.

Government of Gujarat under the guidance of Sh Vijay Rupani  has provided  full support from all aspects, be it logistics, space, transportation or Human Resources. Various ministries of the state have come forward to support this event. In terms of the logistics support, buses will ply from various cities within Gujarat to provide free transportation to devotees.

Addressing the Press Conference today, Ms. Paramjeet Kaur N Chabra, Director of Gujarat Minorities Finance and Development Corporation mentioned, “This will be one of the unique and largest events dedicated to Guru Gobind Singhji by Government of Gujarat. He has been known as ‘Sarvanshdani’  and is a combination of Bhakti & Shakti. The River front area will be converted into a small town and will have an AC dome made which can accommodate over 15,000 people.  ‘Langar prasad’ in a “pangat” shall be served for the entire day. Pangat means all people sit in a line where there is no discrimination, only one religion.. that of humanity. Apart from food; tea, snacks, sweets, buttermilk, rose milk and almond milk too shall be served.”

Sardar Rajinder Singh, member of core committee said, “This will be one of the first initiative of mega scale dedicated to spread message of Guru Gobind Singhji who spent his entire life fighting for secular living. He gave up on his family, his four dear sons to protect Hinduism. Picking up sword was never his motive, but when all doors of peace close then war is the option.”

 Baba Lakkha Singhji is the torch bearer of this celebration. Apart from  him famous kirtankars from across India will be present on 11th June 2017 to sing Gurubani hyms from Guru Granth Sahib. There will be a program showcasing ‘Gatka’ – Sikh Marshal arts by World famous award winning Tej Academy. In addition to this, World famous “Sahib- e- kamal” Rang Manch program will be presented by artists of Patiala.  A live telecast of programmes will run on Chardikala channel for the entire day supported by media from across India and Gujarat.

8th June 2017 : 9:00 am – Arambh of Akhand Path at Gurudwara Gobind Dham, Thaltej
10th June 2017: 9:00 am – Samapti of Akhand Path at Gurudwara Gobind Dham, Thaltej

10th June 2017: 5:30 pm – Nagar Kirtan begins from Gurudwara Gobind Dham, Thaltej and reaches River front
10th June 2017: 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm Kirtan Diwan at River Front followed by Langar
11th June 2017: 5:00 am to 9:30 pm programs as per schedule

Last but not least a blood donation camp will also be held as a part of seva.
