The Big Bang story of making of this Planet...

You will have mush mush mushrooms and not butterflies in your stomach..

These balls aren’t just popped up, but there is an intricate story behind it of the hard work and finesse. From the research of getting the best of variety to making of it with perfection, pack it store in and present it also are a part of the saga of Planet Popcorn.

Two entrepreneurs, Vishank Deliwala and Bharat Ramani ventured out with an idea to give shape to their own brand in food industry, that too package and brand, the most favourite time pass snack, but in the premium category.

Well the genes do matter, so beginning with the picking up of the best quality of cobs to get that wholesome fleshy, full bodied and crunchy munch. The mushroom variety of these kernels or corn takes over the lighter butterfly versions that are mostly available over the counters. The mushroom variety of popcorn is round and white similar to a mushroom, which is how they have been christened.

“Apart from just carving a niche as premium brand, we had to experiment with variety of flavours to be known in segment of gourmet pop corn. The entire range is delicately hand-made so that the flavours get coated properly on each piece of the pop corn you pop in mouth” said Vishank Deliwala who runs the standalone branded outlet of Planet Popcorn at Alpha Bazar, Prahlad Nagar, Ahmedabad.

“The flavours which we have created are mostly in demand for theme based parties, high end events. Apart from the regular, we have variants in spicy, cheesy and dessert formats. So you can try your hands at a white chocolate or a jalapeño cheese flavour popcorns”, added Vishank.

The dessert versions you can enjoy as it is, to have a wholesome sweet food or can be used to pop up your ice-creams or freak shakes or do food porn with the pop corn!

The diet conscious too can freak out on this new age glutten free, non GMO and fibre rich avatar of Pop Corn!!

Hope now you don’t have butterflies now in your stomach but rats running to nibble on....

Upcycle Concrete

Upcycle is an interesting "GREEN" practice nowadays followed by many!! For goods and commodities its good, but in the era of shifting sands, preferences, fast evolutionary changes, the need and demand for more excitement the malls, unlike old markets, have a very short life span. A decade is quite long, then they slowly organically fade out. Ahmedabad, unlike the metros is quick silver. The life span of malls is shorter than those in metros.. few which have swept off infront of our eyes in two decades are; Gulmohar, Fun Republic, Gallops etc. Gallops though with best brands, infrastructure couldn't survive the cost concious market. Two days ago I happened to step into Iscon mega Mall, Mega like the word suggests, its gigantic. Reliance hyper market was inaugurated on 15th August 2006 by Sh Mukesh Ambani, it was his big bang entry into retail segment. In this mega structure, today hardly 10% area is functional, rest is all unused.  If Westside and Reliance are functional...
