Thumbs Up for this!!!

Hyderabad is known for it's Biryani's, on the other side there is another preparation of Dum Biryani which is a rice preparation with mutton or chicken or veggies cooked with spices along so that the flavours of the meat and spices amalgamate with rice.. cooked in a sealed container; that's why we term it as Dum.

Swapnil Gandhi, recommended by a friend of mine invited me to taste the same rice preparation. Chicken Dum biryani, absolutely cooked to perfection. I couldn't  spot any trace of oil on my plate, not very spicy, succulent juicy pieces of chicken and the flavour of burnt onions arriving in between  served with raita is the best option for one's like me, who are a foodie yet a bit diet conscious and ofcourse for the new generation who wish to splurge on food and try new places.

Up and Up as the name of the restaurant goes, is also a solution for the food woes of the working lot. the food prepared is healthy, fresh and not too heavy on the wallet or your tummy either. Apart from that they also follow a strict hygiene regulation.

Swapnil, A  young lad from Nadiad , passionate about food, incubated from IIM has ventured into this business. His management experience has helped him design the format of the restaurant which operates from a Cloud kitchen, means the food is centrally prepared in one kitchen and supplied in rest of the branches which is a smart way of operations as it helps to regulate logistics, cost, manpower and serve the client with a uniform taste. The cloud kitchen outlet is at Prahlad Nagar and rest of the three outlets of  Up and Up are located at Drive n, Bodakdev and South Bopal.

To sum up the meal... authentic phirni, loaded with dryfruits and carrying a distinct flavour of ground cardamom.... leaves you on a high!!! Up and Up....

"Wife or a Whore?" Or Dust under her feet!

Lets change the narrative.. the perspective and positioning !! Well, this is one statement which after a certain age applies to women.. pls note the word "AGE"!! This was mentioned in a book reading session by Sharbari Zohra Ahmed, in her Debut Novel,   "Dust under her feet!" The  Quantico  scriptwriter moves from an International thriller, expressing a high voltage drama series for Hollywood and now back into the 1940s, where her story revolves around Yasmine Khan, the protagonist. Sharbari expresses that it was probably Yasmine Khan, the focal point chose her, cause while writing the fiction,  she could clearly go back into times and see the visuals of the yesteryears when World War II had set in.. There is a lot which Sharbari has contributed into this novel, above her body mind and soul.. fifteen years have gone into crafting the epic! What beyond? The Author has actually gone to the libraries of Kolkata, dug out their archival section, newspapers, magazines, hu...

A New Dawn in the Desert By: Kulveen Narula “The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it. It isn't something  you await, but rather create.” — H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum A t the turn of the millennium, while the world was celebrating the arrival of Y2K , a quiet revolution had begun brewing in the Middle East.
