Sabarmati ke Sant tune kar diya kamal !!!

Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram...

Small is beautiful!! Brainchild of Anar Patel which is the he theme of second edition of Sabarmati festival, inaugurates today in Ahmedabad.  We all begin somewhere small, a humble beginning.

The festival gives space, an equal platform to all artists, be from simple walks of life to the renowned ones.

The festival is a showcase of events ranging across varied segments like Handicraft, Art, Craft, Music, Literature, Theatre, Dance, Cinema, Spirituality, Culinary Arts, Heritage, Awards etc. The event is a culmination of contributions from artists, citizens, institutes and academia all of which results into a living documents of cultural diversity.

The attraction was various art installations by celebrated artists and students of renowned institutions giving out strong and inspiring messages.

Asha Mandapa and her team from Ideal Academy created a larger than life Gandhi statue made out of glass and iron. Gandhi, known as Sant of Sabarmati is truly synonymous with the festive spirit.

Chaula Doshi represented a woman’s face, the innumerable artisans and crafts women who aren’t known much, yet retaining the culture. The decor on the representation is the material which these women use for their creations.

NID students have picked up ants as theme of “Small is beautiful”. The strong messages these tiny creatures give to human beings.. that of hard work, team work and harmony.

Not to forget the tea culture and famous shoes or mojri’s  created by Nirma University

made by students of GLS University

The mela or festival is held on Sabarmati Riverfront, Event ground, from 17th to 21st January, 2018.

Its not just Oil and Gold, a New world economy, booming and buzzing, attracting all global markets to buy home, setup business and live in a place which is now the new Centre of attraction, to setup Global Headquarters. The Millenial tower - Burj Al Arab  Indians have forgotten Canada and US (seems so..) especially after the setting up new Trump norms... so where do all heads turn and why? 1. Therefore, Dubai travel is cost effective and easily accessible. 2. Visa : Relaxed norms with consultants from both countries growing in numbers to assist Indians settle in Dubai, both for entrepreneurs and job seekers. 3. Population : Potential of any economy to thrive lies in its people, Population thus holds biggest Poten...

Upcycle Concrete

Upcycle is an interesting "GREEN" practice nowadays followed by many!! For goods and commodities its good, but in the era of shifting sands, preferences, fast evolutionary changes, the need and demand for more excitement the malls, unlike old markets, have a very short life span. A decade is quite long, then they slowly organically fade out. Ahmedabad, unlike the metros is quick silver. The life span of malls is shorter than those in metros.. few which have swept off infront of our eyes in two decades are; Gulmohar, Fun Republic, Gallops etc. Gallops though with best brands, infrastructure couldn't survive the cost concious market. Two days ago I happened to step into Iscon mega Mall, Mega like the word suggests, its gigantic. Reliance hyper market was inaugurated on 15th August 2006 by Sh Mukesh Ambani, it was his big bang entry into retail segment. In this mega structure, today hardly 10% area is functional, rest is all unused.  If Westside and Reliance are functional...
