Life is an ADD- Venture

We constantly keep pondering over life, we arrive on this world crying and happiness is our goal. Happiness through various experiences.. generally thrill captivates our soul, the memories are even more lasting than having your favourite meal. Travel is one means which releases those happy hormones when you get to witness the beauty of nature, creation by the creator... its various forms, be it about people, civilisations, systems, functions, art, architecture food or anything.

Bird’s eye view of all of this, that too at my dream destination – Switzerland!! Interlaken we arrive on 6th of August 2017.. while my friend was doing the check in formalities, I spotted brochures of highlights of Interlaken of which I grabbed onto few of adventure activities. Thrill started running in our nerves, transmitting waves of excitement in our entire system. Top of the pop was two women out alone, coming from a conservative background, in their mid forties, on an International holiday.. Heading for an expensive adventure ride; sounded like an adventure in itself. Then it was check check and check, to finally check on one option and dive on. To offer on platter we had paragliding and hang-gliding. Para gliding was a bit on economical side (that’s a comparative analysis though); hang- gliding was expensive but something which we had never one in our life.. so that had to be our choice and the only best option... reminding of the famous Yarana movie where Amitabh and Amjad Khan do the same, the difference here was the women power.

The next day was occupied with fixed itinerary, 8th of August we fixed our time but weather at Interlaken was bad.. there were thunderstorms hence all plans had to take a back seat, the only option was “go take a walk” , and that’s exactly what we did!! We couldn’t DO hanggliding.
9th August was the check out date bidding goodbye to the Swiss Alps, my wonderland... our plans were to head on to Zurich, take glance of Rhine falls and head onto Salzburg Austria.

9 am, 9th August back to the same reception desk, my friend and I suddenly get an idea to recheck with Bumblebee service providers, they agreed, wow!! “Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans!!!” one quote which I keep reminding myself of... we cancel our Rhine falls agenda. Best thing in this country is, when you have a swiss rail pass, you can float on in the country wherever you feel like, with your own comfort.. at ease; giving you greater flexibility in your holiday. This is what any tourist desires for...

Our Bumble bee buddies arrived!! Leaving our bags and baggage at the reception desk, we headed on towards greater heights, sense of achievement, excitement, bit of fear..a complete concoction of emotions running across the streams...in the Universe inside, to explore that outside!!
Toby, my pilot and Rahul, Archana’s pilot; they briefed us on the procedure and got us clad in the safety gears. Helmet, belts, pulleys, hanger etc. Etc. While the briefing session was on we questioned that we could spot very few takers on the hang-gliding whereas most of the tourists were flying off with their parachutes. One after the other we witnessed a couple of them taking off in front of our eyes.. while we were still waiting for the right breeze to give that right thrust. The reply which Toby gave us was pretty witty, “those with one ball do para-gliding and hang-gliding is opted only by those people who have two balls.” And we both were addressed as “DIVAS” by our pilots.. “Aha!!” we two women just tried to show our biceps and a laugh which also helped in soothing our tensed nerves. Waiting for the breeze was also like gathering our strength and getting accustomed and feeling one with that place, the mountains. Uniting and letting the nature, mother nature take you in it’s lap and give you a hug and a caress in her bosom.

Finally, the breeze was set in the right direction... get set go.. All we had to do was to give a strong run to support the pilot, give acceleration and thrust, just a few steps, after which you are set free, exactly like a bird, you get to see the world beneath, all with your own eyes, open, get to feel the breeze, comforting you while you are floating on it. Beauty, Awe, Amaze, captivating; you just want to move your head around and see as much as possible. Capture the most of moments with the cam of your eyes.. freeze those memories in your brain, your heart, which is just meant to be filled with the treasure of wonderful moments and memories which we will carry along after our journey in this planet is over..

Addded a treasure in the VENTURE called Life!! Moving towards the goal, capturing happy more and more moments...

The Kastoori of Agriculture and it's women

Saturday 22nd June 2019: Agriculture, call it a tradition, an occupation or being part of the nature and our existence with it!! Just like Kastoori or the musk is within the deer, but it keeps hunting outside, similar is with our Agriculture sector. It had always been our primary resource, but we complicated the same hunting outside, making farmers dependant on complex and manipulative processes. We all know that various climatic and financial factors with overburdened chemical dependency has made this sector gloomy, turning down into a compounded cyclical process which has now started affecting the urban too; giving the realisation to human race now to bridge the gap between the two. Farmer suicides and pesticides in food chain with increase in cancer cases is just the tip of the iceberg. Purvi Vyas, Mentor WGWLO & Babita Jain Chair person FLO With such an initiative Ficci FLO Ahmedabad on 21st June, organised an event Coordinated by Shilpa patel , Kinnery Sh
