Body Temple.... Timelessness

Timelessness on the time line.... We constantly keep hearing a phrase that our body is our temple where the soul or the God light resides, how much do we take care of this temple so that on time line of age we follow a therapeutic path. Detox nowadays is one word heard about a lot correlated with diet.... But the biggest question is that do we know that our skin is the largest organ of our body which protects all the vital organs, be it heart, lungs kidney or liver. Skin plays multiple roles of all above organs releasing excess water, urea, maintaining body temperature, oil balance, absorbing Vitamin D and many more. The quality of our skin defines our health.

Of late India is witnessing a sea change in terms of the supply of Spas and spa culture evolving. This is actually an age old therapy carried forward from our ancestors who knew better how to take care of themselves and used to spend lot of time with their body, mind and soul. Be it meditation or body massages... Turkey is known for its hamams, Kerala famous for therapies.. The list is endless, massage is a forgotten art and science which is regaining its benefits in a more commercialised way in the modern age. It works on all our systems, circulation, excretion, lipid, nervous and muscular... So probably now it makes more sense to think of massage more as a therapy than a beauty treatment.

While on my trip to Mumbai, being inclined on this method of rejuvenation, I was out for a spa hunt.. It's also very essential to make a right choice when there is oversupply of such places...right choice in terms of the quality of therapists and overall SAFE zone.. So, I landed into hotel Grand Sarovar Premiere in Goregaon west, luckily I was residing nearby which is another luxury in a city like Mumbai.

Tattva, a recently inaugurated Spa looked like it was there waiting for me.. Well Trained therapists, excellent interiors, well managed and coordinated is the place. As the name goes, our Body Temple is made of five tatvas or elements, hence the rooms too have been designed on the same lines each designated a name of the Tatva in our body..

Anisha, the Spa manager ensures the comfort of the guests. It's extremely essential to make a right choice as the massage not only works on various sciences, combining acupressure, muscle stretches and oil massage which not only releases toxins but muscle tension, nervous system and mental relaxation.

Swedish massage which I had opted for begins with a proper ritual. One is offered a Kokum drink, a coolant, followed by a a fifteen minute steam which opens the pores of the entire skin and releases uric acid in form of sweat, the pores opened are also ready to absorb oil into your system followed by a foot soak, sixty minute massage, a shower and another refreshing drink.

Four stars to this indulgence.. No no i would rather call it an essence... An investment on your body to later not spend that amount on medicines and towards Timelessness on the timelines.

The Kastoori of Agriculture and it's women

Saturday 22nd June 2019: Agriculture, call it a tradition, an occupation or being part of the nature and our existence with it!! Just like Kastoori or the musk is within the deer, but it keeps hunting outside, similar is with our Agriculture sector. It had always been our primary resource, but we complicated the same hunting outside, making farmers dependant on complex and manipulative processes. We all know that various climatic and financial factors with overburdened chemical dependency has made this sector gloomy, turning down into a compounded cyclical process which has now started affecting the urban too; giving the realisation to human race now to bridge the gap between the two. Farmer suicides and pesticides in food chain with increase in cancer cases is just the tip of the iceberg. Purvi Vyas, Mentor WGWLO & Babita Jain Chair person FLO With such an initiative Ficci FLO Ahmedabad on 21st June, organised an event Coordinated by Shilpa patel , Kinnery Sh
