Civilisations have passed and this debate continues, but looking around I was intrigued to delve on the topic again as to who is the stronger one ....?
Some key highlights over the surface though:
1. Can a man leave his parents and go to a woman? sounds really funny and if happens so he is looked down upon in the society and termed às a "Ghar jamai'; whereas a woman has all the abilities to break all her bonds and at the peak of her life, start afresh.... strong who?
She is surrounded by all new people, does freedom of expression as a citizen or a human really exist or it's refined form of imposition.
2. Can a man change his attire, the way he dresses post Marriage? Happens other way round though. Another major change and through civilisations our brains have been wired or conditioned to just simply accept that...as a tradition? Really!! What about men? What's the tradition they need to follow?
Nothing.. they are supposed to be left free.
3. Can a woman impose her desires on a man? Again... all through she is expected to follow the commands of the "SO TERMED" as stronger SEX! So women, Haven't we started developing a sense of pride for ourselves and pity for the MAN out there! "Pativrta!!" .
4. There arises another factor! Who is the bread winner? In many families.. the two extemes specially i.e. lower strata of the society or the elite boys who cause of excessive disposable income fall prey to life long addiction, the women therefore are supposed to handle everything and if they raise their voices, society wouldn't really support them.
5. If I extract a conclusion out of above 3 factors atleast, do you notice a pattern of a typical approach towards women? First she is robbed of her own essential elements i.e Home where all her childhood she has been nurtured, her attire, her desires. To TOP the list is her name too is taken away and then we term her as "weaker sex", the sex who also has the abilities to undergo a labour pain and immediately smile thereafter after seeing her child!
Durga, Shakti, Lakshmi, Kali, Saraswati, Parvati.... all are epitomes of a woman's strength in all arenas as they symbolise strength, monetary aspect or nurturing , killing the unwanted or removing the bad or filtration and segregation, education etc.
Yet at every stage a man speaks aloud of his insecurities and the woman being emotional keeps giving and forgiving.... that's the real weakness.. being loving and an emotional fool when the world has become practical and logical.. she too must review and use logic more as she does possess powers and big brains too... the need of the hour is let that develop and emerge stronger on better platforms.
Let us leave the DUALITY and admit certain truths. These practices have been wired on our systems and DNA since centuries.. the current need of the hour calls upon a SOCIAL CHANGE.....
To be continued....
