Old Values, new taste!

The Urban skyline of Ahmedabad is getting filled up with high voltage lights, new construction, loud and jazzy commercial outlets, in between the umpteen modern options emerges another one "Just Foodinn", an old and renowned restaurant chain of Ahmedabad. The fourth branch caters to the South West new zone of Ahmedabad. It is located at One World Capital building, Bodakdev.

Run by Abid Ali Rabari, who has been serving the city for over 15 years from now; ventures out to bring in a World Cuisine menu, retaining their favorite Indian Delicacies. Abid with his hard core dedication and the right expertise and experience has made Just Foodinn, one of the old favorite brands having a loyal league of foodies.

Apart from the favorite Butter chicken, which they are known for, food inn has added some very interesting creative Delicacies. The Menu is curated by Chef Shivam Kothari who holds a bag full of wisdom, that of over seventeen years, picked up from Oberoi Hotels, Emirates Flight Catering and a list of restaurants in Ahmedabad. The man behind scenes of Raisin, Mint route, Cocoa Drama, 07 Violettes, Diana etc...has invested in lot of heart and soul for out of the box recipes, yet receptive to the new evolved palette of the current generation.
Renowned bloggers of the city with Anil Mulchandani, Satyen Gadhvi, Sonal Kellogg, Tuli Banerjee, Kunal, Abhinisha Ashra, Antara, Nikita and me went in for a food tasting session.

We started our seven course meal with a mocktail, followed by a full bodied Moroccan Chicken, chilli Garlic Chickpea soup. What I loved was the thickness imparted by some real stuff and not artificial thickening agents.

In starters we had American glazed Chicken wings which have a good crunch on the surface yet we'll cooked and soft from the centre... And the original flavours narrate a lot about the Chef.. not using the ready sauces which are easily available nowadays.

Thai Basil Krapow Chicken, carries a beautiful amalgamation of green leafy condiments.. lemon grass, Original Thai Basil, Mint and Shredded chicken, the zingy prep will open up your sleepy grey cells, leaving you refreshed and full!!

Awadhi Bharwa Tandoori Murg : full of Royal tales of nazakat which the saffron infused chicken tells and the grilled ghosht has a stuffing of mushrooms and Spinach. Kudos to creativity, this delicacy is no less than a Ghazal, cause rarely we get to this kinda delight on the menu.
The Indian subcontinent preparations reach till down South, their Mutton pepper fry clubbed with Malabar Paratha is highly recommended. If you are inclined towards health food, you can opt for stews or a Konakani Black Pomfret Kingfish.

Bowl meals are the other grab on's for calorie conscious or food on the go...
Relishing and a satiating dinner concluded with Kesari Phirni which travels down from the rich expertise of Chef Shivam, and believe me, this cold heaven in an earthen bowl - one won't be enough!!

Sands to Skyscrapers: Dubai’s Architectural Marvels

A New Dawn in the Desert By: Kulveen Narula “The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it. It isn't something  you await, but rather create.” — H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum A t the turn of the millennium, while the world was celebrating the arrival of Y2K , a quiet revolution had begun brewing in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates, particularly Dubai , was preparing to reimagine itself—not just as a city but as a symbol of human possibility. From a land once known only for its sands and souks, rose a futuristic skyline that rivals the best on Earth. In just 25 years , Dubai evolved into a global epicentre of design, engineering, and luxury—where the homo sapiens are actually living on Cloud 9, giving us a strong dream etched on sand, which didn't disappear overnight but amplified year on year imparting a twinkle in the eye of millions in the world to light up a dream.  The Visionary Behind the Rise The transformation is no...
