A seeker called - Guru Nanak

When I revisited the stories about an eternal soul who started a revolution. I learnt that Guru Nanak since childhood had been inquisitive and was a SEEKER. Seeker meaning questioning and with that questioning emerged new paths... new beginnings.
Only one instance of his life which I am urged to pen down is .. he was made to wear "Janeu" which actually he refused to. The refusal was directly given to Pundit Hardayal, their family priest of a high repute. This instance clearly implies that Nanak was a Brahmin by origin. He at that point of time questioned as to why this ritual was only meant for males, why cannot Brahmin women or those people from other religion wear the same.
He evolved further from being just a tagged "brahmin". His radically new thought process; call it philosophy or seeking or awakening humanity later gave birth to Sikhs (a student... always seeking and learning). Thus Sikhism is a revolutionary movement which surpasses  religion, or is much more above being a Brahmin, kshatriya, vaish or Shudra. It's BEYOND!!!
Later, Guru Gobind Singhji further restated his points that men and women are equal, they can wear the same attire. Both men and women can wear the five "k's" Kada, kangha, kaccha, kesh and kirpan.....
                               ..... no discrimination!!!

The Kastoori of Agriculture and it's women

Saturday 22nd June 2019: Agriculture, call it a tradition, an occupation or being part of the nature and our existence with it!! Just like Kastoori or the musk is within the deer, but it keeps hunting outside, similar is with our Agriculture sector. It had always been our primary resource, but we complicated the same hunting outside, making farmers dependant on complex and manipulative processes. We all know that various climatic and financial factors with overburdened chemical dependency has made this sector gloomy, turning down into a compounded cyclical process which has now started affecting the urban too; giving the realisation to human race now to bridge the gap between the two. Farmer suicides and pesticides in food chain with increase in cancer cases is just the tip of the iceberg. Purvi Vyas, Mentor WGWLO & Babita Jain Chair person FLO With such an initiative Ficci FLO Ahmedabad on 21st June, organised an event Coordinated by Shilpa patel , Kinnery Sh
