Gujjus Rock.... Time for It's Film Fraternity to.. Rock Too

Big corporate houses begin from the soil of Gujarat.. A hard core test market. "If you can thrive here, you can survive anywhere.. is the mantra". Many Corporate houses have started their new models from here, be it the Star Bazar of Tata Group, Reliance Mart and various such.. These are the latest developments but history has shown that when there is grit and determination for a good intended purpose, success is bound to happen. Fraternities have been made for success of not one model but many, be it Lijjat papad growing leaps and boinds or Amul becoming the taste of India. On similar lines, today a foundation stone has been laid for a Fraternity made of stars for new stars to ROCK, Gujarat Film Fraternity or GFF wears a tag line... From I to WE.

Gujarat film Industry finally spreads its wings to soar in the skies of entertainment industry. It was said that this industry will soon choke and cease to exist but various initiatives in last decade have added to it's revival.. Be it increasing number of multiplexes, lot of telestars visiting the region, movie promotions by bollywood celebrities themselves, Initiatives by Tourism Corporation of Gujarat under the guidance of Honorable President Sh Narendra Modi by roping in Amitabh Bachchan as brand Ambassador of Gujarat, promoting heritage sites of the state for film sets or Jackie Shroff announcing development of Film city in Gujarat.

Being a small part in this team.. As a spec of sand.. I too have witnessed all above developments. In January 2006,  Divya Bhaskar had done a special story on over 40 celebrities visiting the town in a span of 100 days then in following years short film festivals started.. Cyrus Dastoor, Ritam Bhatnagar, Shiladitya Bora.

Then suddenly in 2012 with 'Kevi rite jaish'... A blockbuster gujarati movie came a ray of hope.. Another revival where there is no looking back and the future of Gujarat Film industry or Golly wood is bright. To bring the entire Fraternity under one umbrella and to develop the skills of those having talent, various renowned names from the industry have gathered together to announce formation of GFF....

The journey begins.. Under leadership of,
Hetal Thakkar as President GFF, Abhilash G Ghoda as Gen Secretary,  Arvind Veghda as Vice President along with Advisory committee of four members to act as a backbone.

Sands to Skyscrapers: Dubai’s Architectural Marvels

A New Dawn in the Desert By: Kulveen Narula “The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it. It isn't something  you await, but rather create.” — H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum A t the turn of the millennium, while the world was celebrating the arrival of Y2K , a quiet revolution had begun brewing in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates, particularly Dubai , was preparing to reimagine itself—not just as a city but as a symbol of human possibility. From a land once known only for its sands and souks, rose a futuristic skyline that rivals the best on Earth. In just 25 years , Dubai evolved into a global epicentre of design, engineering, and luxury—where the homo sapiens are actually living on Cloud 9, giving us a strong dream etched on sand, which didn't disappear overnight but amplified year on year imparting a twinkle in the eye of millions in the world to light up a dream.  The Visionary Behind the Rise The transformation is no...
