What's your Color Code?

Give Me "RED" - Operation Sindoor   While a debate goes on the skin color and the side effects of lightening crèmes, no makeup looks etc. but at the same point there is no denial that we love to wear color, be it on our face, hair or body. 16   shringars   have been known since time  immemorial and so make up has always been an essential part of human existence, be it the tribal paintings with feather head gears or a high fashion look on a ramp. Recently the importance of vermilion powder - termed as "Sindoor" was the nomenclature of the army operation conducted in retaliation to the terrorist attacks in Kashmir where caste was primary specification of those targeted.  This itself indicates that makeup and grooming have been an essential element of our culture and tradition since time immemorial. The loud red streak was adorned by Aishwarya Rai at the Cannes as representation of both fashion and fury, Peace and power. The Queen arrived clad in Red ...

We are what we eat!! (not just think...)

Ahmedabad, 16th December 2018: Food has been known not only to impart nutrition, but also develops our mind, body and certain spiritual qualities. The essence of food which has been traditionally developed over years is somewhere getting lost between fad diets, western influence, new age ingredients, cafe culture etc. Indian tradition and culture has developed over food. Food is one ingredient which is also present in religion, ayurveda, medicine, and social connect too... Food is part of our entire eco-system, it is nature, hence we connect with it the most. Sattvik is one such initiative to create awareness about the lost traditional cooking methods, regional and seasonal food. Apart from this Sattvik brought in by Srishti Innovations is also a platform where home- makers, villagers and commercial outlets showcase their food-related products, services and serve delicacies too. Sattvik 2018 will be held at AES grounds, Bodakdev from 22 nd December 2018 to 25 th Decemb...

Are you health conscious and still wanna Binge?? Your search ends here... Hyatt Regency recently has come up with their new menu for Italian cuisine. Chef Mauro Ferrari has been the thought leader behind the entire gastronomy. The chefs have put in all their culinary skills to serve the evolving taste buds of the current human breed who love eating out ....yet extremely health conscious. It’s Raining chocolates and cakes this Rakhi..

Well!! Food is one element which binds us together...! But, coming to one of the most important Indian festival, which is celebrated across the length and breadth of the country is; the bond made by blood, Rakshbandhan !! This bandhan or bond of a brother and sister is a ritual of tying a thread on the wrist of brother by a sister, where sweet is an essence. Till few years back, Indian sweets used to be an integral part of this fest; but since past few years with the contemporary culture and strong western influences, the GenX needs to play around with festivals as well, hence chocolates, cakes and fusion desserts have overtaken the Indian mithai. Gulab Jamun Tea cake Motichoor Cake jars The fusion versions of Indian mithai have been played around pretty well by Cocoa Drama , located at Vastrapur. Khushali Solanki , the creator of the brand has touched upon the Indian chord with her fusion versions of Gulab Jamun and Jalebi t...

DONt feel Deserted..!!

With Ice-Cream you will never feel deserted in Ahmedabad!! Ahmedabad in my personal ranking has to be THE ICE-CREAM Capitol of India, with leading dairy brands, ice-cream not only happens to be a by product of it, but it’s the lullaby of majority of the population. Credit scores for this culture also are due to the state falling in so called “ dry” category!! The males aren’t busy consuming liquor at home or in pubs therefore one can spot groups of families and friends hanging out together sitting outside parlours or pavement on stools late at night.. chilling with their ‘gup-shup’. The late evening breeze in this tropical zone is another inviting factor for this trend to develop!! As a spectator and blogger, I have witnessed three generations or three zones of this chilling fluid!! To hit Bull's eye you need the MOO factor of cow!! The home made brands contribute to the first generation which had always been local preference, made locally, fresh with minimum proc...

Landed at Outlandish Dhadoom!!

Well as the interiors suggest, this place is completely meant for teenagers and the youngistann who can get themselves sink into calories without counting and also dig well into cheese .... Weird, be it the combinations or the tastes, there are fried Oreos and ' paratha ' pizzas. For the food tasting session, I started my culinary journey with a Brownie Shake, crumbled brownie churned with milk and served in a long beaker kinda glasses.. I had fun clicking some pictures with the freakish graphics and toons. The shake too is good to go with, quite filling and highly recommended. The next came in queue was Dal Makhani with Paratha, part of their new menu delights. This Dal Makhani has a very typical punju touch to it, not too heavy and tastes exactly like a home made version. Good to go, as it is a mini platter, served with 'paratha'. Personally, I would give it four star out of five to it..  Another extension of parathas are the paratha ...
