The FIXING!!

Representative  image for Corona with fixers (made by a little girl) Since past many decades we were using this term for lot of promotional stuff  used for sports,  matches, award functions, roles, political seats, and the list is endless.. 2020 has seen a new shift, a new turn in #humanity amidst the #corona fear and #lockdown2020 ; it seems this virus is doing the repair work which was long due for our planet to breathe. Human greed had shamelessly crossed every possible limit... selfish purpose and they could exploit or use anything which comes in their path in order to achieve success. But in the BLIND rat race we forgot #nature the biggest force, that force which is fluid and we are just a part of that fluid motion.. we started taking our environment for granted, our waterbodies, atmosphere, land etc. And we could eat anything!! Crazy razing of green patches and turning them into concrete, even if we don't need space but the greed of expansion pushed us reckle...

DONt feel Deserted..!!

With Ice-Cream you will never feel deserted in Ahmedabad!! Ahmedabad in my personal ranking has to be THE ICE-CREAM Capitol of India, with leading dairy brands, ice-cream not only happens to be a by product of it, but it’s the lullaby of majority of the population. Credit scores for this culture also are due to the state falling in so called “ dry” category!! The males aren’t busy consuming liquor at home or in pubs therefore one can spot groups of families and friends hanging out together sitting outside parlours or pavement on stools late at night.. chilling with their ‘gup-shup’. The late evening breeze in this tropical zone is another inviting factor for this trend to develop!! As a spectator and blogger, I have witnessed three generations or three zones of this chilling fluid!! To hit Bull's eye you need the MOO factor of cow!! The home made brands contribute to the first generation which had always been local preference, made locally, fresh with minimum proc...

Cleaner you....with this Immunity booster dose

Spa’s and therapies are looked upon as a great idea for relaxation and rejuvenation. The culture is picking up well with booming spa industry.. what are the reasons, one gets to know only when you visit one. So Dravya , at Hotel Crowne Plaza, is one place, I headed on to experience and explore more... Personally I always recommend a renowned spa, as they not only focus on best of services with trained staff, but hygiene, infrastructure and various other aspects equally play an important role to rejuvenate you. Lavish space, with a private sit out area where I was first offered an Apple infused Cranberry juice... highly soothing and relaxing when you land into the place when the summer heat at its peak!! I opted for a BALI massage which focuses on Lymphatic drainage, a very important aspect, extremely essential for overall well being, as lymph nodes, a part of our circulatory system, store the white blood cells which are responsible for our immunity and play a very ...

Landed at Outlandish Dhadoom!!

Well as the interiors suggest, this place is completely meant for teenagers and the youngistann who can get themselves sink into calories without counting and also dig well into cheese .... Weird, be it the combinations or the tastes, there are fried Oreos and ' paratha ' pizzas. For the food tasting session, I started my culinary journey with a Brownie Shake, crumbled brownie churned with milk and served in a long beaker kinda glasses.. I had fun clicking some pictures with the freakish graphics and toons. The shake too is good to go with, quite filling and highly recommended. The next came in queue was Dal Makhani with Paratha, part of their new menu delights. This Dal Makhani has a very typical punju touch to it, not too heavy and tastes exactly like a home made version. Good to go, as it is a mini platter, served with 'paratha'. Personally, I would give it four star out of five to it..  Another extension of parathas are the paratha ...

Macadamia to Mascarpone & Wasabi to Dates.. all in frozen dessert delights...

Creation of food is an amalgamation of art, combinations of taste, food materials infused in together.. but needs lot of knowledge, experimentation and research too, as various food categories cannot be combined together or some even if combined don’t taste great or react well, but this challenge has been taken up well by Pabria’s, a transformed version of Tullika ice-creams which has been put back on feet with a more robust plan, strategy and innovative approach. Pabrai’s – Fresh and Naturelle is again a Kolkata based 30 year old family brand which has franchisee presence in Ahmedabad, at Vastrapur Lake. 90% of the ice-creams at Pabrai’s – Fresh and Naturelle retain absolutely original flavours of fruits, nuts, flowers, spices or any other essential extracts. They use the best of ingredients which impart original taste to the favourite dessert of Amdavadi’s; be it a basic vanilla ice cream or a lemon grass both have natural pods and leaves present. The USP of Pabrai’s is ...

This travel tale has lot to tell... A SYMBIOTIC SETTLEMENT!!

Prof. Anil Gupta, a mentor, leader who needs no introduction, has been conducting “Shodh Yatras” i.e a journey meant to learn and find out more...strongly inclined towards research and learning from people located in various remote corners of India, who have lot of natural treasure in store, who with lack of infrastructure, convert challenges into learning footprints for rest of the world to follow. Prof Anil Gupta with his ‘ yatra’ intends to document and spread these learning’s to inspire the rest of the world. The 41 st Shodh Yatra this time was to Andaman and Nicobar islands, a place which has been more known for tourism and not much focus has gone in from deriving inspiration...The locals   learn, earn from and live with nature; that’s their cash, their wealth, their money...it is a best demonstration of a symbiotic settlement!! Hence, they respect and protect nature a lot, unlike urban inhabitants who are completely slaves of infrastructure and technology. 6 d...

World on my Platter...

..... Millhouse is the place to be... Classic, elegant, delicate, succulent, juicy, creamy and moreover Fresh!!! are the few terms that define this newly opened place and the food. Millhouse offers completely new gastronomical delights on the food explorer's platter; an experience which will am sure as a blogger will continue on... and on your steering too, I believe, can turn it onto one of favorite food junctions. A newly opened venture by three people; Jaydeep Mukherjee, Ajit Dhumal and Anand who have a rich background in hospitality have taken this initiative. While interacting with Jaydeep, a precise message which I captured, and to put as a "quote"  "Glocal delicacies, simple food, with less experimentation, retaining the original flavors and minimizing wastage". * PS Three types of seating arrangement, that of bar, cafe and a comfortable dining space...  three menus , one for beverage, food and sweets offering bakery products and hand crafte...
