Less noise and more cushion, Akasa marks it's streak on Jeddah skies

Thin Skeleton, strong core and more Cushion, the technologically advanced new fleet of a 19 month old Akasa Air marks its new International territory today by taking off its maiden flight from Ahmedabad to Jeddah.

14 million passengers and more leg room, one of fastest growing airline with a double digit growth of 29% in Ahmedabad currently flaunts their fleet of 26 Boeing 737 Max. The cutting edge experiential and technological benefits when you fly with low cost airlines adds them on a premium economy segment and preferred list. 

The focus of Akasa Air is more experience based humane approach. 40% less cabin noise and quiet no announcement (except regulatory) night time zones so that passengers can comfortably rest is in itself a cutting edge differentiator. The Akasa Cafe menu has elaborate choices like a hot chocolate and a croissant sandwich; moreover the menu is braille so that even visually impaired, apart from their taste buds can get an infight feel. They play with  cabin lighting colors as per the festivals or special occasions. Moreover passengers also get live updates on T20 Cricket scores.

On their 600th day of operations, flagging off the maiden flight to Jeddah from Ahmedabad International Airport, Praveen Iyer, Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Akasa air commented, " We are delighted to be taking off from Ahmedabad, India's leading industrial centre, to Jeddah. 

We shall be flying twice weekly from Ahmedabad to Jeddah and likewise Jeddah to Ahmedabad. We are elated for being the first Indian airline fly overseas within 19 months, is a record by itself. Till date we have flown 140 million passengers and there is room for more as only a single digit of Indian population has made its way to skies. Thus, looking at the potential in aviation, our fleet size is to expand to 226 total of Brand new Boeing 737 Max.

Internationally we fly to Doha, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi and Jeddah, soon we will announce our flights to Kuwait and Medina as we have been granted traffic rights." 

The fares from Ahmedabad to Jeddah currently range from INR 25000/ to 28000/.

With the growing numbers of airports, potential in tier 2 cities, population size, India certainly has an appetite and skyfor more.
