The Good, Bad and the evil – Visions translated into Art forms

"An artwork gets made on its own...." Piraji Sagara

....no plans hence unique.

We all as individuals are pieces of art crafted by some natural, supernatural and human powers... this is what exactly this Art show is all about: “Eternal!!” as these powers are, so is Piraji... eternal! and his art which is still living.

We are living in era of mobility, mobile phones...Piraji through his paintings has actually crafted mobile HERITAGE. He amalgamated various mediums like bead embroidered fabrics, various forms of metal pieces like nails made of aluminium & copper, burnt wood, burnt adhesive. All these are layered, painted, polished, carved, drilled, charred, framed and installed at various galleries to relive Piraji.

Each piece is clearly a mix of life and life beyond, the forces which control life, five elements, God...

I could spot an art piece holding carved flying creatures on which clearly reflect feelings of freedom and liberation which is a constant driving force of soul or life energy, the force which helps us chug forward leaving behind the smoke of charred fuel and the adhesives that binds.

Moving forward is the sole agenda of a creative soul...

A line mentioned by Piarji in his book is, “An artist does not make a thing, it gets made by him. There is no print in an artist’s head that he follows. That would be a mere copy of work. It demands to be made. An artwork gets made on its own”.

On very similar lines, I have got this realisation, we need to tune into with the source of our existence, those pure forms of energy.. then; with no plans we just float with creation our creator, smoothly and effortlessly, instinctively, lovingly....

Instincts we all are gifted with, but do we really make use of it?

Something again which attracted my attention the most,  that at Piraji’s place there was always work of creation on... no one ever spoke on monetary aspects, about trade affairs, buying and selling. An artist trusts his own existence and his creator and creations.

Above article is on works of Piraji Sagara under title "Remembering Piraji", showcased at Kanoria Center for Arts - Ahmedabad from March 17th - 29, 2017

Sands to Skyscrapers: Dubai’s Architectural Marvels

A New Dawn in the Desert By: Kulveen Narula “The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it. It isn't something  you await, but rather create.” — H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum A t the turn of the millennium, while the world was celebrating the arrival of Y2K , a quiet revolution had begun brewing in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates, particularly Dubai , was preparing to reimagine itself—not just as a city but as a symbol of human possibility. From a land once known only for its sands and souks, rose a futuristic skyline that rivals the best on Earth. In just 25 years , Dubai evolved into a global epicentre of design, engineering, and luxury—where the homo sapiens are actually living on Cloud 9, giving us a strong dream etched on sand, which didn't disappear overnight but amplified year on year imparting a twinkle in the eye of millions in the world to light up a dream.  The Visionary Behind the Rise The transformation is no...
