Perspectives of art on materials captured in frame

1. Architecture carved on wood, placed on canvas
Deepa Varan an artist and architect amalgamates both her skills; places of historical importance especially architectural remains have been carved on wood and painted. On plyboard she has drawn, painted and cut those pieces herself. The Toran especially with jigsaw machine was quite a task of patience and precision. She has captured Restoration and it's depth. In another series print and drawing both have been merged to give depth to the paintings  made on basis of perpectives she has captured. Key highlight of her works is Sarnath remains.

2. Dogmas... Dogs evolving and humans..?
Ajay Dhapa: in his metal sculpted works made in black only; has compared dog with human forms . It signifies the job nowadays human beings do is similar to a dogs character. He has love for dogs therefore has observed them carefully thus was able to corelate dogs with human. He came to a conclusion that a dog is actually better than today's human.

3. Shikha  Chavda, another artist who hails from Jamnagar has displayed her steel works. Birds  etched on ss plates is a rare kind of work one usually witnesses in such exhibitions. She jas crafted them from an  Electo tool which is used to write our names on utensils. It's a challenging task to give form to beautifully shaded avians as the tool vibrates a lot. The most appaluaded work has been a life sized 7 ft by 5 ft,  the largest  size of paintings she has made.

Dushyant Patel, Gulab Kapadiya, Himanshu Jamod, Rajesh Ahlawat are four other artists in a group ART SHOW titled ANTHOLOGY ON THE ANNEXE. Their works are on display at The Gallery, Amdavad ni Gufa from 3rd to 8th of January 2017.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum A t the turn of the millennium, while the world was celebrating the arrival of Y2K , a quiet revolution had begun brewing in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates, particularly Dubai , was preparing to reimagine itself—not just as a city but as a symbol of human possibility.
