When I revisited the stories about an eternal soul who started a revolution. I learnt that Guru Nanak since childhood had been inquisitive and was a SEEKER. Seeker meaning questioning and with that questioning emerged new paths... new beginnings. Only one instance of his life which I am urged to pen down is .. he was made to wear " Janeu " which actually he refused to. The refusal was directly given to Pundit Hardayal, their family priest of a high repute. This instance clearly implies that Nanak was a Brahmin by origin. He at that point of time questioned as to why this ritual was only meant for males, why cannot Brahmin women or those people from other religion wear the same. He evolved further from being just a tagged " brahmin ". His radically new thought process; call it philosophy or seeking or awakening humanity later gave birth to Sikhs (a student... always seeking and learning). Thus Sikhism is a revolutionary movement which surpasses rel
